About Us
Since its founding in 1994, the Ross Technology Club (formerly the High-Tech Club) has grown into one of the largest clubs at the Ross School of Business.  As technology becomes more integrated into all aspects of business, the RTC has continued to broaden its scope to encompass emerging opportunities in technology and related industries including:

Information Technology, Computer Software, Computer Hardware, Mobile / Electronic Devices, Semiconductor Equipment, Telecommunications, Interactive / Digital Media, Social Media, Search, eCommerce, Technology Consulting

 

Our Mission
Our mission is to educate our members on the latest technology trends and innovations, launching future leaders into technology functions, and continue to strengthen Ross’s brand in technology.

Opportunities
Ross MBAs are among the most highly sought after among technology companies and the RTC plays a pivotal role in continuing and enhancing that position. To date, graduates have accepted positions in the following functions:

Marketing (including Product Management, Product Planning, and Brand Management), Corporate Finance, Venture Captial, Business Development, Strategy / General Management, Operations, Sales, Consulting, Human Resources

Club Offerings
Education: The RTC will host an Education Series that will take place at key points throughout the year. We will ensure that you are fully prepared for the numerous recruiting activities that occurring during your two years at Ross. We will also help guide you with courses that would be most appropriate for your technology-related career goals. Throughout the year we will have a club-related Twitter that should keep you in the loop of happenings in the tech space.

Access to Companies: The RTC will conduct tech-related career treks to both large companies and startups during the year and bring in speakers from the tech community. We will also facilitate mock interviews, and resume reviews with recruiters and 2nd year club members before the interviewing season.

Case Competitions: Several top technology firms will come to campus throughout the year to conduct case competitions. These competitions are a great way to form relationships with fellow classmates that have an interest in technology and with firms hosting competitions.
