The Ross Small Business Consulting Club  (RSBC) is a University of Michigan student organization that provides pro bono management consulting services for local “for profit” businesses while giving students hands-on experience that will make them effective managers and consultants in the future. 

Mission Statement:

The mission of RSBC is to provide pro bono management consulting services to small “for-profit” business entrepreneurs as well as existing “for-profit” small businesses in Ann Arbor and neighboring communities in the areas of accounting, finance, marketing, operations, e-commerce, and strategy.  RSBC also seeks to benefit the University of Michigan (UM) students by providingthem with opportunities for practical applications of business skills and tools, while contributing to the local business community.

 

The purpose of the club is to:

·       Help our clients benefit from the vast professional experiences and business knowledge of University of Michigan Ross School of Business students

·       Organize training workshops and distinguished speakers series

·       Contribute to enhancing University of Michigan’s positive impact on the local business community

 

The goals of the club include, but are not limited to,

 

·      Providing vital management consulting services to local small “for profit” businesses

·       Organizing training workshops for new business startups and entrepreneurs without previous business experience

·      Providing Ross students with opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge and skills learned in the classroom

·      Helping Ross students interested in a consulting career, foster skills needed to become effectivemanagers and management consultants

·      Inviting industry leaders in consulting and management to participate in a speakers series for the benefit of the Ross students
