Web site
- Mission - What we do - Contact: Email group officers
Our mission is to:
1) Supply energy, enthusiasm and manpower to the ongoing relief efforts in the Gulf Coast.
2) Apply our professional and academic talents to devise inventive solutions emerging problems.
3) Provide students with meaningful engagement opportunities with community leaders, organizations and residents.
4) Cultivate friendships and a spirit of collaboration between University graduate students and with external partners.
We're traveling with over 30 University of Michigan graduate students down to New Orleans over the month of August 2010 to lend our time, skills and energy to the disaster recovery efforts. Ross Responds is prepared to contribute time and energy through manual labor, personal support and engagement with residents, or tasks that leverage our business, environmental or other skill-sets (such as experience in research, general business, entrepreneurship, finance, office management, career advising, logistics, fundraising, marketing, graphic design, photography, etc.). Ultimately, we want to learn first hand about the experience of the individuals and communities dealing with this disaster and positively contribute our skills and time in whatever manner is needed to make a meaningful contribution.
We will document our trip and travels on this website.
